Summary
Evacuation and shelter-in-place orders were lifted Tuesday after officials said two derailed cars carrying hazardous materials did not leak, leaving no public threat in Feasterville.
About 16 of a 72-car eastbound CSX freight train left the tracks around 2:15 p.m. between Street Road and the Neshaminy Falls station; no injuries were reported.
Bristol Road remains closed from Old Lincoln to Brownsville Road, while other nearby roads have reopened and police are still urging the public to avoid the area.
CSX is leading cleanup and investigating the cause, and SEPTA has suspended West Trenton Line service until further notice because of the emergency response nearby.
