September 8 or 9 is the expected launch window for Apple’s first foldable iPhone Ultra, following Apple’s usual post-Labor Day iPhone schedule cited by Bloomberg.
July 22 is widely reported as Samsung’s next foldables event date, putting the Galaxy Z Flip 8, Z Fold 8 and Z Fold 8 Ultra on sale in August about a month before Apple’s device.
Apple is also expected to launch the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max alongside the iPhone Ultra, with all three phones likely reaching stores later in September.
Rumors point to similar hardware on the iPhone Ultra and Galaxy Z Fold 8, including wide foldable displays, dual rear cameras and side-mounted fingerprint readers, though Apple’s battery could top 5,400mAh versus Samsung’s rumored 4,800mAh.
