Summary
20,160 verified smallholder farmers in five South-South states are receiving subsidised inputs under the federal Farm Input Support Programme, including four free fertiliser bags each.
80,640 bags are being distributed in the regional rollout launched in Calabar, alongside irrigation pumps and other inputs aimed at cutting production costs and raising yields.
NADF said all fertiliser is locally manufactured, fully subsidised, traceable and marked “Not for Sale” to curb diversion while also supporting domestic producers.
128,930 farmers nationwide are set to benefit from 515,720 fertiliser bags, with more than 1,800 extension advisory workers planned to support application and productivity.
