June 30 is the China launch date for Xiaomi’s Redmi K90 Ultra, which the company is pitching as a more affordable gaming phone built around Qualcomm’s last-gen Snapdragon 8 Elite.
The phone pairs that chip with an active cooling fan Xiaomi says is 6% larger than rivals’ and runs at about 32dB, aiming to sustain gaming performance without excessive noise.
Xiaomi also confirmed a D2 dedicated graphics chip plus network, touch and audio optimizations, and said the device can run MOBA titles at 144FPS—suggesting a 144Hz display.
Promotional images show a design nearly identical to the K90 Max, with slightly different rear vent holes, indicating the K90 Ultra may share much of that model’s broader hardware.
