The Ringer proposed Boston send Jaylen Brown and Jordan Walsh to Cleveland for Evan Mobley and Max Strus, framing Mobley as the star big man the Celtics are seeking this offseason.
Salary rules drive the full package: the outlet said Brown-for-Mobley would be the cleanest concept, but Walsh and Strus would be needed to make the money work.
Mobley would address Boston's frontcourt need with a player who can play power forward or center, while Strus would add another wing alongside Jayson Tatum.
Cleveland may be harder to convince, because moving Mobley would cost the Cavaliers size for a smaller wing even after adding Brown to a backcourt already led by James Harden and Donovan Mitchell.
