Apple Releases watchOS 27 Beta 2, Removing Walkie-Talkie and Fixing 11 Issue Categories

watchOS 27 Beta 2 is now rolling out to supported Apple Watch models, with Apple Watch Ultra 3 getting a separate 24R5305K build a day later and a 1.2 GB download.
The update focuses on refinement rather than new features, sharpening "liquid glass" text, improving notification controls, tweaking icons and contrast, and removing the Walkie-Talkie app from the interface.
Several bugs from Beta 1 were fixed, including third-party app stability and iPhone sync, while Apple says 11 categories of known issues remain, including Siri-related problems.
Touch response can still be inconsistent and workout tracking may miss data, making the beta a risk for users who rely on fitness or health features.
Apple is expected to open a public beta in early July, with later releases likely to add new watch faces and Siri AI integration.
