Jordan's Exports to EU Jump 49.3% to JD218 Million in Early 2026

JD218 million in exports to EU countries in the first four months of 2026 marked a 49.3% rise from JD146 million a year earlier, according to official Jordanian statistics.
EuroCham Jordan Chairman Mohammed Samadi said the gain shows Jordanian products are competitive in Europe, citing their quality and ability to meet EU demand and standards.
Industrial, food, pharmaceutical and chemical goods were highlighted as sectors with strong room to expand further into EU markets.
Samadi said the next phase should focus on faster trade procedures, better logistics and lower production and export costs through closer public-private cooperation.
The push matters because the EU is one of Jordan's key trading partners and a major global trade bloc, making wider access important for foreign trade and jobs.
