Google Wallet Adds US Package Tracking via Gmail Scanning

Google Wallet can now surface package tracking on its home screen by scanning Gmail for digital receipts and tracking numbers tied to incoming deliveries.
The feature pulls shipment details into Wallet without altering the original Gmail messages, and users can open fuller tracking information or dismiss a package after it arrives.
US availability is the main limit for now, and Google says support covers most major retailers rather than every merchant or email format.
Gmail users must also enable "Google Workspace smart features" in settings, reviving a package-tracking idea Google previously offered through the now-retired Google Now.
