Philadelphia was the centerpiece, but Shapiro said benefits would extend across Pennsylvania, naming Reading, Pittsburgh and Scranton while calling Philly “the center of the soccer universe.”
Shapiro also used the event to sharpen a political contrast with Donald Trump, saying the crowds showed a more welcoming America and arguing Democrats should embrace the U.S. team and tournament energy.
