Milwaukee reached 50-29 with a 6-2 win over Chicago, its fifth straight victory, after Garrett Mitchell’s sixth-inning two-run homer flipped a 1-0 deficit.
Jacob Misiorowski set up that turn by escaping a bases-loaded jam in the top of the sixth, striking out Ian Happ with a 102.8-mph fastball on his 107th and final pitch.
Misiorowski improved to 9-3, allowing two hits and one run over six innings with seven strikeouts, while opening the game by hitting 105.5 mph and topping 103 mph nine times in the first inning.
William Contreras added a two-run homer in the seventh, David Hamilton tripled home another run, and Christian Yelich doubled in Milwaukee’s final insurance run.
The Brewers moved to 4-0 against the Cubs, stretched their NL Central winning streak to 11 games, and opened a 7 1/2-game division lead.
