$170 million is the damages Swatch now wants from Samsung after a London High Court found Galaxy Watch faces infringed its trademarks.
The claim centers on third-party watch faces that allegedly copied designs from 10 Swatch brands, including Tissot and Omega, with Swatch arguing the sum reflects likely licensing fees.
A damages ruling is still pending in the UK case, which began in 2019 and covered alleged infringement across the European Union when Britain was still an EU member.
That ruling could also bolster a parallel trademark claim in the United States, while Samsung has not commented and is expected to keep fighting the decision.
