Lifeguard Truck Runs Over 20-Year-Old Woman on Half Moon Bay Beach

A 20-year-old woman was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries after a lifeguard pickup truck struck her Wednesday afternoon at Francis Beach in Half Moon Bay.
State Parks officials said the woman had been lying on the sand, and investigators believe the driver may have been distracted.
San Mateo County sheriff's deputies are investigating the incident, while witnesses said they saw emergency personnel rush to the beach and help the woman, who was partly buried in sand.
