Summary
October 9 is the release date for Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen, which Capcom said will bring a new Norgan story, 12 dungeon challenges and expanded character customization.
Kento Kinoshita said the expansion sends players across the frigid new region chasing a mysterious woman and “the Fallen Dragon,” while collecting relics that can be appraised into stronger gear with unique skills.
Capcom will sell Dark Arisen as $30 DLC for existing versions and as a $50 standalone release on Nintendo Switch 2.
An end-of-August update is also planned to improve performance and the save system, adjust Dragonsplague and raise weapon skill slots from four to six.
Dragon’s Dogma 2 launched in March 2024 to strong reviews but a more divided player response, with an 86 Metacritic score versus a 6.5 user score.
