But resale prices are usually driven more by age, battery health, condition, storage tier, screen quality and remaining support life than by one omitted feature set. The S23 still has flagship-grade hardware, a strong camera system and continued security coverage. For many second-hand buyers, that is enough. What is likely is a widening gap between the S23 and newer Samsung flagships, not a sudden crash. Samsung has begun pushing firmware version S918NKSS8FZF1 to the Galaxy S23 lineup in South Korea, extending its June 2026 security update rollout to the 2023 flagship series.
The 444.60MB update fixes 45 security flaws in the previous firmware, tightening device security rather than adding major new features.
