Oppo’s new Bubble is a 1.73-inch circular OLED add-on that wirelessly connects to supported phones as a rear-camera selfie screen or a remote shutter with up to 33 feet of range.
At 7mm thick and 27.5g, the device carries a 550mAh battery, pairs directly with Oppo’s camera app, and can access the camera even when the phone is locked.
Compatibility is narrow: Bubble works only with Oppo Reno 16 models and a few other Reno and Find X phones, and it cannot be used with other Android devices or third-party imaging apps.
The biggest drawback is attachment—none of the supported phones have built-in Qi2 magnets, so users need a magnetic case or included ring, which the report says is too weak and prone to slipping.
Priced at €129, about $150, Bubble costs well above Insta360’s $80 Snap, underscoring both Oppo’s polished take on the concept and Android’s broader lag in adopting Qi2.
