Tom Aspinall Seeks Bigger Payday for Ciryl Gane Rematch After 4 Eye Operations

Four eye operations behind him, UFC heavyweight champion Tom Aspinall has been medically cleared to resume training and fight again after the eye injuries that halted his October bout with Ciryl Gane.
Aspinall's team has told the UFC he is ready, but Eddie Hearn said upcoming talks on date and pay must reflect the health risk and the commercial value of a Gane rematch.
Hearn called Aspinall's current contract outdated and unfair, arguing the fight is one of the UFC's biggest available matchups after Gane's latest interim-title win over Alex Pereira.
Seven figures in off-cage commercial value have already been generated through deals, appearances and media projects, which Hearn says has made Aspinall more money outside the Octagon than in it.
Separately, Matchroom added 28-year-old Ian Machado Garry to its agency roster, though Hearn said Garry's UFC fight dealings will remain with Vayner Sports rather than Matchroom.
