Usha Vance ridiculed a New York Times fashion piece on X, joking that after decoding her $8.75 Old Navy maternity dress, the paper could next analyze her elastic-waist pants and compression socks.
A receipt she posted showed the coral dress was marked down from $49.99 to $12.49, then cut by another $3.74 in promo discounts.
The Times article, "The Politics and Power of the Pregnancy Image," argued Vance, Karoline Leavitt and Katie Miller together projected a White House "family and fertility platform" through their pregnancies and styling.
