Molly Dickson revealed Lexi Minetree’s hot-pink look on Jimmy Fallon was the exact Marc Jacobs dress Reese Witherspoon wore to the 2001 Legally Blonde premiere.
Wednesday’s appearance turned the outfit into a handoff moment for Elle, the new prequel in which Minetree plays a high-school version of Elle Woods.
Witherspoon, who produces the series through Hello Sunshine, called watching Minetree step into the role a “full circle moment” in an Instagram post last month.
