Summary
Disney has enabled Disney Gift Cards to be stored in MyDisney Wallet, turning them into a saved payment option instead of requiring manual entry at checkout.
The update is meant to speed purchases across Disney businesses by letting users add a 16-digit card number, EAN and optional nickname through the wallet’s “Add Payment Method” flow.
Saved cards can be used at Walt Disney World, Disneyland Resort, Disney Cruise Line, Disney Store, ESPN+, Disney+ and Hulu, and the wallet now also generates a barcode for in-person register payments.
The change expands app-based payment convenience already rolling out in My Disney Experience, where gift cards can be set as a default payment method for most purchases.
