Summary
Four Breeze routes will begin from Dayton this fall, adding Fort Lauderdale on Oct. 9, Fort Myers on Oct. 23, and Raleigh-Durham plus Sarasota-Bradenton on Nov. 6.
Fares start at $49 one way to Raleigh-Durham and $69 to the two Florida nonstop markets, with flights scheduled on Mondays and Fridays; Sarasota-Bradenton will use one-stop, no-change BreezeThru service.
Dayton officials called it the airport’s largest route announcement in 24 years, a notable boost for Ohio’s only air market that has not fully recovered from the pandemic.
JobsOhio said it and local companies used a 20% local-match incentive model to guarantee revenue and cut Breeze’s risk; since 2021, the group has secured 21 Breeze destination markets statewide.
