Space Shuttle Endeavour Unveiled in 20-Story Launch Display, Opening November 13 in Los Angeles

Endeavour was shown publicly in its permanent vertical “Ready to Launch” position at the California Science Center, attached to its orange external tank and twin solid rocket boosters.
The 20-story installation will open to visitors on November 13 inside the new Samuel Oschin Shuttle Gallery, billed as the only complete NASA shuttle system displayed vertically for the public.
Endeavour flew 25 missions from 1992 to 2011, including work on the Hubble Space Telescope, and has been at the Science Center since 2012.
The display anchors the $450 million Samuel Oschin Air and Space Center expansion, which nearly doubles exhibit space and adds about 100 artifacts.
