So the premise is still unconfirmed until Samsung’s launch. If the Watch 9 does miss the Snapdragon Wear Elite, the main impact would be on headroom rather than basic usability. The new Qualcomm chip is reported to bring major CPU and GPU gains, better power efficiency, and a dedicated NPU for on-device AI. That would matter most for smoother app launches, faster voice and AI features, richer health analysis on the watch itself, and potentially better battery life.
