CENTCOM said the precision strike was part of ongoing efforts to disrupt and eliminate militants seeking to attack Americans abroad or the U.S. homeland.
U.S. forces are still operating with regional partners in Syria as Washington keeps pressure on ISIS remnants through targeted strikes.
