$2.5 million in oversubscribed seed funding will help Qubic commercialize low-noise cryogenic amplifiers and launch an RF quantum sensing platform, with Two Small Fish Ventures leading the round.
Qubic says its amplifiers can cut heat dissipation to under 0.1 mW each, targeting a key scaling bottleneck because standard semiconductor amplifiers can consume nearly half a dilution refrigerator's thermal budget.
The proceeds will fund three priorities: finishing the amplifier MVP, expanding manufacturing capacity, and tripling the team to serve rising demand from quantum-computing and defense customers.
Qubic already signaled early market traction in May with its first amplifier sale to Quantum Machines, which is exploring integration of the devices into quantum-computing control stacks.
The company is pitching its KI-TWPA design as a broader platform for superconducting-qubit readout, remote sensing and stealth communications, extending its market beyond quantum computing.
