Summary
Six consecutive life sentences with parole were imposed on Sgt. Quornelius S. Radford, 29, after a military judge convicted him of attempting to murder five soldiers and his fiancé in the Aug. 6, 2025 Fort Stewart attack.
Prosecutors said the shooting began after an argument with his fiancé; Radford shot him in a parking lot, then entered unit offices and shot four soldiers while attempting to shoot a fifth.
Fellow soldiers tackled and restrained Radford until law enforcement arrived, a response commanders said prevented further casualties; all six victims survived but testified to lasting trauma.
The sentence also strips Radford of all pay and allowances, reduces him to E-1 and dishonorably discharges him; he will serve at the U.S. Disciplinary Barracks in Fort Leavenworth, Kansas.
