Summary
September 3 is the Meta Quest launch date for “Transformers: Beyond Reality Redux,” ending nearly four years of Sony exclusivity for the 2022 PlayStation VR on-rails shooter.
Squido Studio unveiled the Quest version at the summer VR Games Showcase, where the game was presented as a remake of the original release built around Autobots-versus-Decepticons combat.
The showcase also highlighted other VR projects, including Salmi Games’ four-player extraction shooter “Drifters: Blackout Crew,” which the studio said was made possible by German public funding and Meta investment.
1C Game Studios separately said “Korea” in the IL-2 series will add VR support, with Early Access for the VR mode starting June 25 ahead of the PC release on August 4.
