Jeffrey Kessler said he will immediately pursue the NFL's decision to block Brendan Sorsby from the 2026 supplemental draft, calling the move a violation of the CBA and the law.
The first step is likely through the NFLPA, because the supplemental draft was created by collective bargaining and the union has standing to challenge the league's refusal to hold one.
Sorsby is not an NFLPA member, but Kessler said he also has separate legal rights that could be pursued in court; no lawsuit has been filed yet.
The NFL earlier canceled the 2026 supplemental draft after citing Sorsby's late petition and gambling history, including more than $90,000 in bets and 40 wagers on Indiana football, leaving him unable to enter the league until 2027.
