Gianni Infantino said Tuesday that he and President Donald Trump will present the World Cup trophy on the field to the winning captain after the July 19 final at MetLife Stadium.
The appearance would put Trump at the center of the tournament's biggest ceremony, after he had not attended a World Cup match as of June 23.
MetLife also hosted last year's Club World Cup final, where Trump and Infantino jointly presented the trophy after Chelsea's 3-0 win over Paris Saint-Germain.
That ceremony drew notice when Trump stayed on stage during Chelsea's celebration, underscoring his increasingly visible role in FIFA events.
The final caps a broader Trump-FIFA partnership that includes a White House task force for the 2026 tournament, with the US hosting 78 of 104 matches.
