Summary
Google is gradually enabling Gemini-powered Edit with Ask Photos for Android users in Germany, the UK, France, Spain and Italy, marking its first major regional expansion since last year’s rollout elsewhere.
The server-side update lets users edit images with plain-language prompts—such as removing glare, distractions or cropping by voice—with Google Photos executing the changes in seconds.
Android is the only supported platform in this European launch, and Google said iPhone users in those five countries will have to wait while the phased rollout reaches devices over time.
The expansion follows other AI additions in Google Photos, including the Touch Up face-retouching suite, as Google pushes generative tools deeper into everyday consumer apps.
