Sega released Sonic Frontiers Definitive Edition for Switch 2 on June 23, making the upgraded 2022 adventure available immediately after its Sonic 35th Anniversary livestream.
The $49.99 edition bundles all post-launch content and Switch 2 upgrades, including improved graphics and performance over the original Switch version.
The package includes The Final Horizon update—with a new story campaign, challenges, photo mode, and playable Tails, Knuckles, and Amy—plus Sonic’s Birthday Bash, Sights, Sounds, and Speeds, a digital art book, and mini soundtrack.
Switch owners appear to get no upgrade path, though earlier details said players can transfer save data one-way from Switch to Switch 2 while some DLC cannot carry over.
