18-year-old Kingston Rumi Southwick said Apple TV's Widow's Bay has become a 2026 "sleeper hit" since its April premiere, and he is eager to return after season two was recently announced.
Massachusetts filming helped shape the show's cursed New England atmosphere, Southwick said, with shoots in small coastal towns and real houses reinforcing the haunted-island setting.
Southwick credited creator Katie Dippold with nailing the series' difficult horror-comedy tone, saying the show made familiar genre tropes feel original while landing its humor.
