Mary Trump wrote in her weekly newsletter that President Donald Trump’s health is “decaying” and that he is in a psychological and physical “downward spiral.”
She tied that claim to his recent erratic behavior, late-night posting sprees and what she described as a flailing Iran peace effort, arguing humiliation and “narcissistic injuries” are driving his decline.
Steven Cheung, a White House spokesperson, rejected her account and said Trump’s niece “doesn’t have a clue about anything.”
The dispute comes despite recurring scrutiny over Trump’s swollen ankles, bruised hands, neck rash and verbal gaffes, though a late-May Walter Reed visit found him fully fit after scans, screenings and a reported 30-out-of-30 cognitive test.
