Summary
28-year-old Keon Starr was taken into custody Sunday after Porter County police said he led officers on a multi-county chase through northwest Indiana.
Police initially stopped a blue Nissan near 450 E and U.S. 30 because its license plate showed the vehicle was stolen, but Starr allegedly fled east into Starke County.
Up to 100 mph speeds were reported before Starke County deputies deployed stop sticks at U.S. 30 and State Road 23, deflating the rear tires just before 3:30 p.m.
The Nissan stopped near 1100 East and U.S. 30, where Porter County police arrested Starr on felony auto theft and resisting law enforcement charges.
