Summary
Anthony Wayne Neasham, 65, was found dead in Burnet County after being identified by Bexar County deputies as a person of interest in a northwest Bexar County homicide investigation.
Texas DPS said Rangers are investigating Neasham's death as part of the broader case that began after relatives found Steven Isaiah Brothers, 22, shot dead and his mother badly injured at a Cactus Plum home last Tuesday.
The medical examiner ruled Brothers' death a homicide caused by multiple gunshot wounds, while the woman suffered a fractured skull and a large head wound in what Sheriff Javier Salazar described as a "savage beating."
The woman was conscious in a hospital as of June 17 but could not recall what happened, and authorities said the investigation remains ongoing.
