Summary

Fresh vegetables and greens fell 24.3% on the month, offering some relief, but they still cost nearly 25% more than a year earlier as broader inflation pressures persisted.
Annual price gains remained steep in several categories, with baby food and laundry detergents posting double-digit increases versus May 2025.
Across 253 identical products tracked at seven supermarket chains, Philippos had the highest basket at €1,080.72 and Sklavenitis the lowest at €972.10, a €108.62 gap equal to 11.2%.
The Consumer Protection Service said its observatory and the government's e-kalathi platform are meant to help shoppers compare prices, not replace store-by-store choices on quality and preference.
