Dana White said Josh Hokit’s Michelle Obama comment after his White House lawn victory over Derrick Lewis was “nasty and false,” breaking from Joe Rogan, who did not address it in the interview.
Shane Gillis, who attended UFC Freedom 250, also rebuked the moment, telling TMZ he “didn’t love that” and “don’t like that shit.”
Hokit made the remark while thanking Donald Trump for staging the June 14 event and also took a crude shot at Alex Pereira’s mother during the same post-fight appearance.
The fighter has cultivated a heel persona and previously said matchmaker Mick Maynard told him he had become “Trump’s new favorite fighter,” but his racist and transphobic trash talk has drawn criticism from other UFC fighters.
