Datafolha’s latest survey kept Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva ahead of Senator Flavio Bolsonaro by 4 points in a hypothetical runoff, with Lula at 47% and Bolsonaro at 43%.
The unchanged margin follows reports linking Bolsonaro to Daniel Vorcaro, the jailed former chief executive of Banco Master SA, at the center of Brazil’s biggest bank fraud scandal.
Last month’s poll showed the same 47%-43% split, indicating Lula has held the lead since the scandal put Bolsonaro’s ties under sharper scrutiny.
