Police stopped Parker later that day after she claimed she had given birth roadside, but hospital staff found no signs of childbirth, noted her prior hysterectomy and DNA tests tied the infant to Simmons-Hancock.
Parker was convicted of capital murder in 2022 and is now on Texas death row, while the documentary’s director said the victim’s family is still struggling with the case’s lasting trauma.
