Summary
Rural Van Wert County residents, including the Village of Scott and parts of Convoy, can now get Paulding-Putnam high-speed fiber service, with more nearby expansion planned this summer.
More than 600 miles of mainline fiber have already been built across northwest Ohio and northeast Indiana, and the cooperative said that network is slated to grow past 1,500 miles.
June 24 will bring a free Van Wert open house with sessions from 10 a.m. to noon and 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., where residents and businesses can review packages, pricing and the co-op's Wi-Fi app.
Electric members attending can enter to win one of four $25 bill credits, while anyone signing up for fiber service at the event gets $50 off the first month.
Paulding-Putnam, which serves nearly 14,000 members in Ohio and Indiana, is also pitching business-grade internet for farms, small businesses and commercial users needing multi-gig speeds.
