TRNSMT in Glasgow will screen Scotland’s World Cup match against Morocco from 23:00 BST after organisers secured a late licence, turning the music festival into the country’s biggest fan zone despite heavy rain.
A 1-0 win over Haiti means Scotland can reach the knockout stage for the first time with another victory, while a draw would likely leave Steve Clarke’s side on four points and enough for the last 32.
Tens of thousands are expected at TRNSMT and in Boston, while venues from the OVO Hydro to Edinburgh’s Gyle Shopping Centre and smaller clubs across Scotland are also hosting watch parties.
Pubs and bars are bracing for another sales surge after the Haiti game, with the Scottish Beer and Pub Association estimating Scotland’s group matches could bring in an extra £7 million and 520,000 additional pints.
