Summary
Sharjah’s 2026 employment plan sets aside 3,000 government jobs for citizens, with 650 hires due by June 18, 200 appointments already being finalized and another 650 vacancies to be filled by July 31.
1,500 more jobs will be created from August through December, completing the full-year target under the plan approved by ruler Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi.
The package also promotes 1,864 government employees at an annual cost of AED 45.5 million and regularizes 125 staff who earned higher academic qualifications, costing up to AED 5 million a year.
A separate Sharjah programme will train and qualify 410 job seekers from July to December 2026, with total rewards of AED 14.76 million, extending the push beyond immediate hiring.
