Minecraft Launches Chaos Cubed Update With 1 New Mob and Sulfur Caves Biome

Chaos Cubed is now live on both Java and Bedrock, adding the Sulfur Cube, Sulfur Caves, new blocks, music tracks and fresh gameplay mechanics.
The Sulfur Cube anchors the update inside Sulfur Caves, where it eats blocks and changes behavior—wood makes it bouncy, wool slows it, TNT turns it explosive and magma unlocks extra effects.
Sulfur Caves generate beneath Overworld Sulfur Springs and bring sulfur and cinnabar block sets, while Potent Sulfur emits toxic gas and underwater geysers can launch players upward.
Paula Ruiz, known as fingerspit, contributed new tracks including Ebb and Home, and the Bounce music disc can be found in abandoned mineshafts within the new biome.
Chaos Cubed is Minecraft's second major 2026 content drop after Tiny Takeover, with Mojang already planning the Dappled Forest update later this year.
