SF Symbols 8 expands Apple’s cross-platform icon library to more than 7,000 symbols for iOS 27, iPadOS 27, macOS Golden Gate, watchOS 27, tvOS 27 and visionOS 27.
The releases support Apple’s broader iOS 27 Liquid Glass overhaul, which adds a user transparency slider and other readability tweaks after complaints that last year’s design looked too glossy and indistinct.
Both tools are free through Apple’s developer portal with a free account, though Apple warns the beta software may contain bugs before final autumn releases.
