52% of registered voters now see Big Tech as a bigger threat to the US future than big government, versus 47% for government in a Fox News poll conducted June 12-15.
That marks a 28-point reversal from 2019, when 58% feared government more and 35% pointed to tech, as AI's spread pushes voters to rethink where power sits.
18% say they use AI daily, up from 11% last June, while sentiment has softened: those calling AI innovative or helpful doubled to 14%, and those saying it is dangerous fell to 10%.
67% oppose building AI data centers in their area, including 43% strongly opposed, suggesting AI infrastructure could become a sharper political flashpoint even as most voters say they still control technology.
