Tap to Share lets iOS 27 users pass checkout details by tapping an iPhone to a merchant’s Tap to Pay iPhone, cutting out manual entry of email, address and loyalty data.
NFC powers the feature, which can also surface a shopping cart, add a digital ID to Apple Wallet and lead straight into Apple Pay for a faster in-store purchase flow.
Apple said the feature will not be available at launch in the European Economic Area, including all EU countries, and gave no reason or release timeline for the region.
iPhone 12 or newer is required, limiting access even if the feature later reaches Europe; the EU delay also mirrors Apple’s postponed rollout of some other iOS 27 features, including Siri AI.
