Analysts and farmers say the tariff cut could help smallholders previously squeezed by duties that consumed up to 20% of sale value, but they warn exporters still must meet Chinese quality, phytosanitary and logistics requirements.
China says the broader relationship supports about 1 million jobs in Zimbabwe, with cumulative Chinese investment near $10 billion, underscoring the policy's role in wider industrialisation and China-Africa trade integration.
