Andorra Urges Android 14-16 Users to Install June 5 Patch Over Critical Flaws

ANC-AD told Android users to update immediately, warning that critical flaws can let attackers take control of phones and reach banking data, photos and messages without any user action.
Android 14, 15, 16 and 16-QPR2 are affected, with the vulnerabilities hitting the core Framework and chips from Qualcomm, MediaTek, Unisoc and Imagination Technologies.
June 5, 2026 or later is the key security patch to check for; users should also keep Google Play Protect on, avoid sideloading apps and limit public Wi-Fi use without a VPN.
Samsung and some other brands may deliver fixes in phases, so ANC-AD advised repeatedly checking Settings → Software Update until the patch appears.
A single unpatched device can be used in broader malware campaigns, the agency said, making the warning a collective network-security issue as well as a personal privacy risk.
