AWS Launches Transform Preview to Cut Tech Debt Across 1,000s of Repositories

AWS said the preview scans codebases continuously and can generate pull requests automatically to fix technical debt across thousands of repositories.

Hours after connecting source-control systems, customers can see prioritized findings on end-of-life dependencies, deprecated frameworks and security issues, then launch remediation campaigns and track PR creation, merges and compliance.
The capability includes built-in fixes for Java upgrades, SDK migrations and library updates, while custom policies and transformations let companies enforce internal standards and approved libraries.
Available today in preview, the service extends AWS Transform from one-off modernization projects into continuous maintenance, with access through the web app, Kiro Power, MCP and coding-agent integrations.
