Loop 20 remained shut in both directions near Clark Boulevard on Wednesday morning after Tuesday night’s private-plane crash, with police warning the closure could last into the afternoon.
Investigators are documenting a long debris field, recovering scattered evidence and containing spilled aircraft fuel before the highway can reopen, Laredo police said.
Six people were aboard the aircraft when it crashed shortly before 10 p.m.; one person died, while part of the plane also struck a southbound vehicle whose occupants survived and were hospitalized in stable condition.
