Summary
June 17 will mark Ariane 6’s most powerful mission yet, when flight VA269 lifts off from French Guiana carrying 36 Amazon Leo satellites.
Four upgraded P160C solid boosters will debut on the rocket, each adding 14 tonnes of propellant versus the P120C and boosting capacity by more than 9%.
The launch window runs from 08:53 to 09:22 local time, with satellite deployment beginning about 1 hour 26 minutes after liftoff and ending around 1 hour 51 minutes.
VA269 is the third launch for Amazon’s communications constellation and continues Ariane 6’s upgrade path after its 2024 debut and first four-booster flight in February 2026.
The mission also highlights Europe’s 13-country industrial network, with ESA, ArianeGroup, CNES and Arianespace coordinating development, range operations and launch services.
